Open Web Analytics (OWA) is open source web analysis software under the GPL license that provides you with monitoring and analysis of the usage of visitors to your websites and applications.
Interesting alternative to the famous Google Analytics , it can be installed on your own server and allows you to remain the master of your data .
It offers everything you need for essential use of statistics on a website. It allows direct access to data and the creation of extensions to exploit it. We use a server in Open Web Analytics for most of our customers and for our own personal use.
Another interesting alternative under the GPL license is Matomo which also allows installation on a server managed by yourself. Its other strength is to provide strict data reports and not to rely on projections once defined traffic is reached. Its integration with many content managers is possible such as WordPress , Joomla , Drupal , etc.
What rights does a GPL license give me?
- You have the right to use the program for any purpose.
- You have the right to modify the program and access its source code.
- You have the right to copy and distribute the program.
- You have the right to improve the program, and publish your own versions.
We can also provide you with a server that powers Matomo and provide follow-up for your care.
